Aloha Everyone,
Well our week was another great week!!
Our investigators are all doing so great! We still have 2 with baptism dates
and we are super excited for them! Auntie Pua is our first with date and she
is so awesome and doing so great in the gospel! She is very ready for her
baptism but just gotta make it to church a couple more times so the members can
get to know her! We feel like she teaches us just as much as we are teaching
her! Our second with date is Alia she is 9 years old and her parents are
members... missionaries have been working with them for quite some time and now
the family is coming to church and doing great and they want her to get
baptized! We are very excited for both of these two and for them deciding they
want to get baptized! We don't have a specific date with either of them yet
still got to work that out with their schedules! For our other
investigators we are teaching Angela and she has gone through 12 sets of
missionaries! The one thing holding her back is her mom is against her
getting baptized... we are hoping and praying for the best and hoping that her
moms heart will softened! We are also teaching Auntie Sandra and she is
the FUNNIEST lady I have ever met! She is from the ghettos of Detroit and
shows it! She is not afraid of anyone or anything and she is very open with
everything!! At first she was not having anything to do with missionaries but
then they offered service for her and slowly she saw that we aren't that
bad!
Every Saturday as a zone we get to do a
service project at a preschool! The people that own the school aren't members
either and they love missionaries now! Some missionaries tracked into them and
offered to help them with yard work and the preschool and it took a little
while but now it is a weekly thing! I can see how the gospel and the influence
of missionaries has blessed their lives even if they have their own religion!
They are so kind and love what missionaries do! Each week they have different
projects for us to do and I think we have painted the whole school inside and
out! We also do the yard work, clean toys and prep things for the kids for
the next week! The have loved having the missionaries over so much that they
made a wall that all the missionaries sign before they leave this zone! So
cool to be with them and to give service!!
Sunday was our Steak Conference and it was one
of the best Conferences that I have been to! Every speaker that spoke was so
in-tune with the spirit and it was so easy to listen the whole time and to get
their messages! Elder Foster of the quorum of the 70 was there and he is so
awesome! Such a funny guy and the way he spoke to the congregation was so
awesome! Our mission president, President and Sister Warner were also there
and they talked as well! We had a great conference and a great way to finish
off our week!
Well thank you all for everything! I
love and miss you all!! I hope you all have had a great week and will have
another great one this week!! I would love to hear how you are all doing and
remember to always be looking for friends and family to share the gospel with!!
I know if we have faith that our father in heaven will help us find those who
are ready for the gospel in their life!!
